My name is Sarah, I was born and raised in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Riyadh. I am now at Nazareth College of Rochester, and studying in the Center of International Education. Which to me is a very huge transitional point of my life..I now get to do, and experience things I have never done before in my entire life..I got to live in an apartment and for the first time it's ONLY ME, I got to Sign some paperwork and feel all independent, I got to go for grocery shopping and have my own things, to also take the bus everyday to school, which is just different from where I come from, the whole transportation system and how it works on Fixed Schedules everyday. At first I thought that is some how impossible but now I realize that some people actually have their daily lives Relying on these buses and these buses are very committing to their routs so I got to gain some Trust towards them.
and since Rochester is such an amazing place to be at in the spring/summer time of the year, it has lots of events lots of festivals that I'm not even close to be catching up with all of them. It's just that "There's Always something happening in Rochester" . So far I've been to only two, the first was the Busker Contest on East Avenue, which had lots of musicians playing on their guitars and singing varieties of songs and you get to vote for your favorite ones, I love Music and guitars and so I enjoyed it alot.
The second one was The Lilac Festival, it is mostly for families and people who appreciate nature since it was held in the Highland Park, with all the grass and beautiful flowers around , it was just lovely.
I am sure there are much more to come and I can not wait to be part of all this interesting and exciting life of Rochester.
