My I Phone...

                                                                      My iPhone

I have owned an iPhone for about 2 weeks, I used to hear about how great it is, and how easy it is to use. I guess I just never believed that until I had the chance to buy my own, and try it.  It is actually pretty amazing and it makes life so much easier. Now I can join all the other iPhone lovers and now I can completely understand them when they say they can't live without it, because I can't either; and thats for few reasons.
First, through my iPhone, I can check my email. In fact I don't have to sign in everythime I want to check it because the phone just automatically alerts me when ever I receive any new emails. Consequently, I am able to keep track of my emails any time and anywhere.
The second reason is that the iPhone has  a GPS that can specify my exact location  and give me directions on a map to anywhere I want to go. It even calculates the time I'll take to reach my intended destination by bus, car or walking.
The third reason is that the iPhone has thousands and thousands of applications that anyone can get for free. Some of these applications are really important. For instance, a weather application that keeps one aware of the weather status even ahead of time to take any precautions needed like an umbrella for a rainy day or a sunblock for a sunny one.
Last but definitely not least  is that the I phone has  a strong operation system which as  I heard  can not be cracked nor hacked. so for all these reasons I believe that an I phone is a long lasting, reliable and an essential device .

My New Daily Life

My name is Sarah Mirza. I am 25 years old. I come From Saudi Arabia, Jeddah. Right now, I am Living in New York State, Rochester, which is a beautiful city. It is very quiet compared to other big and loud cities like for example: New York City; yet, there is always something happening in Rochester; festivals, concerts, galleries, parades…etc. I am truly enjoying all that, though the real reason for me to be here is mainly studying.

I am taking an English Course at Nazareth College. This course will last for 3 months. I wake up early every morning and I take the bus to college, it drops me off at the Art Center and I walk to the Golisano Building, where the Center of International Education is located. I get there at 8:30; sometimes 2 minutes later and sometimes 2 minutes earlier, it depends on the bus. I just prefer to be punctual. There, I take my English classes given by the nicest, most friendly teachers ever, who are trying their best to make students feel at home and welcomed since all the students are international. They teach us core classes which consist of writing, reading, listening and speaking. There are also classes for Grammar and TOEFL, plus computer labs to work with TELL ME MORE; Tell Me More is a program specially designed for English learners that starts by evaluating the student level in English. Based on that it gives all the suitable exercises and activities for each level, which is great for ALL students. including me, although English has never opposed any difficulties for me,  so I am just enjoying my time and loving every minute of it .

I am currently living with a very nice American lady. She is a mature business woman who
travels a lot. I honestly don’t know if she has someone to clean the place for her, but I must admit that the apartment is super clean. If she is doing the cleaning herself, that makes her a great house keeper too. And that is a complement. Her name is Taylor; Taylor is into what is called Feng Shui, which is the ancient Chinese art of “Placement”. I have heard this term before and basically when I hear Feng Shui, I expect to see extraordinary organized and super clean person. That is exactly what Taylor is. So nowadays, my basic concern is not catching the bus to Nazareth, it’s not doing  two hours of Tell Me More, nor doing my homework. It is keeping my bed room clean every day.

So, last Thursday was my Birthday June 7th, and I gotta admit I didn't want to let anyone know it was my Birthday but I got excited and I mistakenly said it, Oh well! On Friday my teachers arranged  a little Birthday for me and teacher Shizuka, my Speaking class' teacher Louise who is such a sweet heart, made cupcakes for the occasion and made only two of them special for the birthday girls " Shizuka and I" The cupcakes were so cute and girly with the little tiaras and a heart in the middle that said Princess, they had lit candles on them too, then my teachers(Louise and Malissa) plus my classmates, sang for us a Happy Birthday song!! by that time I was already thinking " Omg this is soo sweeet of all of them", but was that all ?!! no .... In addition to all that,  I was given a Card; it was picked by Louise and had Gandhi's strong words on it " BE TRUTHFUL,GENTLE And FEARLESS",  so my card was signed by all my classmates and teachers with such sweet words and warm wishes. I Am so grateful to everyone who was part of that day, and for making it a Happy memorable day.

           So Thanks to Everyone .

Although the day did not finish there, it still continued to be nice, fun, and exciting with the activities we were given to work on as different teams,, they were two activities, the Egg Drop and the Moon colony. it was a lot of fun working on finding a solution associated with a one team work and spirit, that each had 3 students of  different  nationalities  and different languages but English was what brought them together, to work efficiently and succeed as a team.

This is NOT a piece that I have given my best to , I needed more time , but since the deadline is this Thursday, I have to publish it now..

 Listening and Speaking Class

In a world where rules stand unbroken, and words remain unspoken

The Truth Must Be Revealed

where pretending has been chosen, has become a population theme.

a Pretender who i was  obliged to be.... and freedom!!!?

Freedom was left for my wildest dream

In a world where air exists but feels so hard to breath, where feelings are kept as secrets to conceal

The Truth Must Be Revealed

In a world full of  Lies and decceits, where only hypocrites would say " thats the way life should be"

The Truth Must be Revealed

where the fear of shame takes over all, but they say " it IS God who we fear"

The Truth Must Be Revealed

some people step forward and others stay behind, why cant they just understand!

a change will not be made overnight ...and freedom!!

Freedom was left for  my wildest dream

Indeed .....

This Truth Must Be Revealed
